The country mission is designed to follow up on the scoping mission that was held in November, 2016 based on which a series of recommendations were made to increase accountability and reduce vulnerability to corruption in the health sector in Tunisia.
Conducted in partnership with UNDP Tunisia and the Ministry of Health in Tunisia, the mission shall enable the implementation of those recommendations related in particular to the supply of pharmaceutical products, cost analytics in public hospitals and medical insurance payments by the government.
It will also feature three one-day training sessions on the governance of public hospitals, targeting the three public hospitals that selected by the Ministry of Health, as well as a two-day training session on corruption risks management in the health sector.
The mission shall also include a number of meetings with various counterparts and conclude with recap workshop to debrief key stakeholders and discuss the way forward.
