The Knowledge Week is
taking place in Egypt this March 2018 as part of a series of workshops and
seminars to promote the Global Knowledge Index (GKI) as an advocacy tool and to
widely disseminate and imbed it in policy debates. The workshops and seminars
aim to drive active conversation, raise awareness, and inform key stakeholders
and audiences about the key features and anticipated outcomes of the Global
Knowledge Index and the relations between knowledge and development.
The Knowledge Week in Egypt will consist
of a workshop with Al-Ahram Foundation on March 8, 2018 and a series of gatherings
with professors and students of universities in Cairo and Alexandria.
Knowledge Summit Workshop
with Al-Ahram Foundation – 8 March 2018
This workshop will gather
ministers, ambassadors, professors, students, and representatives from the
League of Arab States and from private and public sectors. During the workshop,
the Knowledge Index team will present the results of Egypt in the Global Knowledge
Index 2017. It will enclose sessions on the media and the fourth industrial
revolution and on facing illiteracy.
Gatherings with the Professors
and Students at Zewail, Nile and Alexandria Universities
The gatherings aim to present the
results of Egypt in the Global Knowledge Index and to drive discussions on the
use of GKI as a tool to achieve growth and sustainable development.
