The Working Group on Trade and Sustainable Development Goals (WG) was established by UNDP and Sida to analyze the potential contribution of trade to the economic and trade cooperation in the Arab countries toward achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2017. It has been working in two major fields: i) conduct of technical analysis of key areas of capitalizing on specific new developments in trade and trade-related matters; and ii) development of trade-related indicators in order to benchmark the effectiveness of the Sida strategies on economic cooperation within the defined strategies of 2016 – 2020 and trade-related indicators.
