Overview

The main objectives of the forum are
to explore the actions taken so far by Kuwait to implement SDG 5, the options
for future change in Kuwait and elsewhere in the region, to identify key priorities for future
interventions by UNDP and to design a partnership road map for the new Regional
Gender Programme, with input from key regional and national stakeholders. The
outcomes of the discussion will be captured in a consultation report to inform
the design of the new Regional Gender Programme document.
The three-day symposium will bring
together a selected group of regional counterparts and stakeholders, including
government and non-governmental gender advocates and experts, representatives
from different UN agencies, international organizations, and key donors.
